6 resources to find MOOCs around the world

September 13, 2013

You believe in lifelong learning and you are looking for platforms offering online classes,  respectively MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), but don’t know where to start or which provider/platform is the right one for you? Then, you might be interested in my series MOOC around the world, which I published on MOOC News & Reviews.

Starting in Germany, I continued my search for MOOCs in several European countries including the U.K., Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Portugal (part 1 and part 2) before trying to identify  MOOCs in Australia, India and South America (part 3).  Part 4 of my series covered MOOCs in Canada, which is where MOOCs were originated by educators Georg Siemens and Stephen Downes and less-know platforms in the U.S. In part 5 I sampled some of the entirely “independent” MOOCs in the U.S. not offered in a platform at all. And my newest part 6 is about MOOClatives – Online courses that does not fit current MOOC definitions.
